I remember golden week and the carp flags in Kyoto... I was there seven years ago but feels like it was only yesterday. I would go back there in a heartbeat. In Poland, where I'm originally from, children's day is June the 1st. Kids get candies and small gifts, but there's nothing like the carp flags to celebrate that day.
